It wasn’t in the week so I had to do it in the month

Cooking

Granny and I cooked biscuits today. Granny had already put together the gradients, so we began to work straight immediately. She instructed me to whisk together a duck egg and milk in a glass measuring cup. She told me to set it aside after I finished that and to start on the dry ingredients. I added the ingredients and stirred it. Then I realized we needed to add butter, which required cutting with a pastry cutter, so I asked her how to do it. I added the wet ingredients when it was in small pea shapes and stirred until it barely clung together. We arranged them in a 3 x 3 configuration and baked them for 15 minutes. We created the gravy because it was in the oven, it was fairly straightforward. all we did was combine cooked sausage, water, milk, and the gravy mix, stirring frequently.

Travel

Today I wrote a paragraph about some of the things you can do in Roatan. The first is bus tours, which put you in a caged bus and take you to different sections where you can see the animals in their natural habitat, some of which are extremely close to you. Second, there are port of call trips, which include a variety of activities but primarily zip lining. Finally, there are natural benefits such as sloth buddies and horseback riding.

Biology part 2

I completed half of the snakes in Roatan last week, but I'll write about the rest today. The first is the brown vine snake, which would be a relative of the yellow vine snake and fights for territory all the time. The only difference is the color. The Orange-bellied Swamp Snake is a non-dangerous snake that is sometimes confused for cottonmouths in other parts of the world. Cottonmouths are very poisonous snakes. The brahminy blind snake is a little snake that is mistaken for a worm. It is the second small snake and only hunts baby worms, tiny or microscopic insects. Finally, there's the yellow red rat snake, which proves that adults will let you pick them up, however, if you get too close to the newborn snakes, they will bite you.

Biology

I was reading an article on snakes in Roatan today. The earliest type of snake was a Roatan coral snake. Roatan coral snakes are the only toxic coral snakes, although they are extremely aggressive and dangerous. The second species is the Roatan longtail snake, which is wary and prefers to conceal. Surprisingly, they are nocturnal creatures. The third type of snake is the yellow vine snake. Instead of creating or poisoning its prey hole, the yellow vine snake would hide in the branches of trees or vines and then spring out and consume it. Finally, the boa constrictor. As newborns, they can be just a few of inches long, but as dogs, they can grow to be 3 to 13 feet long and have the muscle to constrict an alligator.

Cooking

Today, Granny and I cooked together; Morgin was not present, so she did it elsewhere. We made Christmas cookie tins. We began by gathering all of the ingredients, and Granny instructed me to combine the wet components while she combined the dry. After that, we needed to add the flour and small scoops to thoroughly combine everything. After that, we had to split the dough evenly into three chunks and place it in the refrigerator for an hour. When the hour was over, we dyed two of the pieces and left one yellow. We had to leave it in the fridge for another half hour after colouring it. We pulled it out after half an hour and rolled it out, but it became too sticky before we could finish, so we put it back in the fridge for another half hour. When we were finished, we rolled it out and put it in the fridge for another hour. After an hour, we stacked it, trimmed the edges, and rolled it. We had to put it in the refrigerator for another hour after we rolled it and smoothed it out. We didn't have to refrigerate it longer after that, so we cut 1/4-inch slices into the cookie dough and baked it. We accidently burned the cookies, but it wasn't too awful because they were still tasty.

Travel

Today I saw items about the Caribbean; I watched ten Caribbean countries to visit, and here are the ten things I saw. The Bahamas embodies everything you imagine when you think of the Caribbean. It is not as densely populated as the Virgin Islands, but it boasts some of the greatest hiking and sightseeing opportunities. The Turks and Caicos Islands feature some of the purest waters, but they are not in America, therefore you will need a passport. Arteaga and Barbuda are autonomous and rich islands for the most affluent. Trinidad & Tobago, it's not so much about the beaches as it is about the economics and socialism. Grenada is well-known for its unique fruits and spices. One of the primary reasons why Jamaica is famous is because of its fondness for fort music and sightseeing. Curaçao is well-known for its inventing the blue Liquor, and snorkeling is exquisite. Puerto Rico, it is famous for its huge hurricane, but it has slowly build its way back up. Last but not least Aruba, it has exotic places to snorkel, sightsee, hike, and many others, it is one of the favorites in the world.

Cooking

Today we made pumpkin pie. When we got into the kitchen Granny had already made both crusts for us and she told us how to roll it out, when we were done Morgin put hers in a pie pan Granny was teaching us a tip by rolling in the dough on the tool that we used to spread it out and then put it over the pie pan, but it’s stuck to the tool and The dough got ruined. We used the one that was out for a few days and it was all right, then we went on to mixing the insides of the  pie and that went smoothly. When Morgin was pouring the mixture into both pie pans I was spreading out the other one because it had cooled down, and it was really tough to spread out. They told me to keep a watch on the last pie because we had taken the other two out and they were cooling and they had to go. But one they got back I forgot about the pie and it was completely black. All the pies tasted good except for the black pie crust.

Biology

Today I watched a video about lionfish, one of the things that we learned about is that are two types of lionfish, the red lion fish and the common lion fish. Each of the lion fish has 18 spines, 13 of the spines are on the top of it and riddles the spine, two are on each end of a fins, and lastly, there is one on the back fin. They also talk about how to cut the venomous spines off the fish before anything else. After that they talked about how spearfishing was illegal, but then when a huge spike in the lionfish population came up,  they decided to let people Spearfish with a license. The last things they talked was when to go hunting because lion fish camouflage into the rocks unless they’re hunting and then they are very easy to spot,  and they also said that you are allowed to touch bead coral with two fingers to stabilize you while spearfishing but that is the only time you’re allowed to touch the coral.

Cooking

Today we may drop biscuits, this is a really easy recipe in a one of my favorite biscuits. We started off with getting ingredients such as salt, flour, sugar, and baking powder, milk, and eggs. Then Morgin stirred the egg and milk together and then put it aside, we forgot to preheat the oven so i did that. Then i poured dry ingredients in a bowl and Morgin stirred. When that was done we added the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. She stirred until it was loosely together. Lastly we put them on a tray and threw them in the oven. Is was really good with beans, and one of the best biscuits i have ever had.
