Where the red Fern grows chapt 5

Once he got pups and he was happy he had a whole lot of other problems just pile on top of him one of those problems Was to train them, inch do that you need a coon hide. So he went to his grandpa. His grandpa said that when he was a boy he trapped so many coons and he would teach him how to do it. After a few he went to set up the traps. He first dug a 6 inch hole he put the nails in and then he put the tin the trap. After that he waited until the next day. When he woke up he raced to the traps but nothing, no coon, so then he walked back to his Grandpa and talked to him about it. Finally after a week, he caught one! He was so excited about it and then his dad killed it. While they skinned it he asked him when he would start training the pups, the conversation went on for a couple minutes and he decided that he would start to train his pups tomorrow.
